Embarkation Afternoon

At about 3:30pm, we had to go to the mandatory lifeboat drill. Mimi was still really groggy, but Amelia was almost impossible to wake up. Ross actually had to carry her for a little bit until she was awake enough to walk.

The emergency drill lasted about 30 minutes and wasn't too bad because our muster station was in one of the specialty restaurants and almost everyone was able to sit down.

After the drill, we went right next door to Micheal's Club to wait for the crowded hallways and elevators to clear out. We relaxed with some drinks. Mimi was completely charmed by the hot tea service. Poppy used the time to get some technical help from Ross for his phone issues.

Next we the explored the ship. Sail away went fast and soon Ft Lauderdale was behind us.

There are cute little canvas covered beds near the indoor pool that are great for a little rest.

Clearly laying down was a mistake. Another little nap snuck up on us. :) I had taken 1/2 a sea-sickness pill so I was sleepy too . That stuff really knocks you out!

When we woke up it was almost sunset. So pretty!

Our suitcases had arrived in our cabin so we had some time to start unpacking before dinner. I discovered that one of my bottles of sun block had leaked. Luckily it was in a big Ziplock bag or I think it might have ruined some of our clothes.
