Dinner was exceptional. The food and service in Luminea were both great.
To start, we were served an amuse bouche that was a little potato and cheese filled fritter. Sweet Pea thought it tasted like a latke. It was a great little bite.

For her appetizer, Sweet Pea had smoky tomato bisque which had a great smokey-sweet flavor. Very good.

Mimi and I ordered the crispy pork belly which was perfect, probably the best we've ever had. The skin was so crispy. It was served over a great creamy sauce. Yum!

Our server, Soner, also brought a burreta (mozzarella like cheese) and tomato salad for the table to split. It was very creamy. I really liked this.

Ross and Poppy ordered smoked salmon which was good.

For her entree, Sweet Pea got the turbot. This was a real miss. It tasted very fishy, almost bad. None of us liked it.

Poppy, Mimi and I all ordered the filet. Mine was perfect. Seasoned well and very tender. It was one of the best I've ever had. In contrast, Poppy's filet was oddly tough. It was almost like he had been served another cut of meat. So strange.

Ross ordered the duck which was good.

For the "dessert amuse bouche", we were served a tart green apple sorbet with a horseradish garnish. It was odd and Sweet Pea was very startled by the horseradish.

For dessert, Poppy and I ordered the almond cake with buttermilk ice cream. The cake was good but we weren't crazy about the buttermilk ice cream.

Mimi ordered a chocolate tart which was really good.

Ross ordered a baked pear which was just okay.

Sweet Pea wanted to take some pictures so I present you with a view of our dining room.
